Ernie Anastos is a distinguished Emmy Award-winning TV news legend in New York. He is also a celebrated  and published author. He has created and hosted information programs for CBS, Lifetime and ABC as well as appeared in major motion pictures and primetime dramas including “Independence Day” and “Summer of Sam.”


As a dynamic New York Hall of Fame Broadcaster, Ernie has an extraordinary record of achievement.  He has won more than 30 combined Emmy Awards and nominations and received the coveted “Lifetime Emmy Award,” which is the highest honor given for his outstanding and personal accomplishments in the television industry.  Throughout his career he has maintained his persona to be relatable, humble and loving which is what makes him the star that he is!                 


Ernie is a celebrated and published author, most recently introducing a series of children’s books titled, 'Ernie and the Big Newz.'  He has chosen to donate the proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Previously, he wrote an historical book on the lifestyle of America’s youth entitled 'Twixt: Teens Yesterday and Today,' which was featured at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. and applauded in the New York Times.  Ernie has also been a regular columnist for the leading woman’s magazine, 'Family Circle.'
